De hulpeloosheid van dit mannelijke lammetje, als beeld van het offer van Jezus Christus, dat maakte bij heel wat los, vandaar dit werk.

The lamb
This painting is based on an original by Francisco de Zubaran (ca 1635)
Agnus Dei, translated as “Lamb of God”, the original hangs in the Prado.
The helplessness of this male lamb, as a picture of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
It makes me a bit emotional, hence this work.
